At Georgeous Care, every soap begins with a simple idea: everyday care for your dog should be gentle, thoughtful, and made with ingredients you can trust. Instead of mass production, our soaps are crafted in small batches using the traditional cold-process method. This slower approach allows the ingredients to keep their natural qualities while creating a durable, balanced bar designed for regular coat care.
The process starts with carefully selected oils and butters. Each formula is built around a balanced blend of olive oil, rice bran oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and castor oil. These ingredients are chosen for how they work together. Some contribute gentle cleansing, others support conditioning and coat softness, while others help create a stable, long-lasting bar. The goal is always the same: a soap that cleans effectively without being harsh on a dog’s skin or coat.
Once the oils are prepared, they are combined with a precisely measured alkaline solution. This reaction, known as saponification, transforms the oils into soap. During this stage the mixture slowly thickens into a smooth batter. At this moment, natural clays and carefully measured essential oils are added to give each bar its subtle color and scent. These additions are intentionally minimal, keeping the formulas simple and focused on coat care.
The fresh soap is then poured into molds where it begins to set. After resting for about a day, the solid block is removed and carefully cut into individual bars. Each bar is slightly unique, reflecting the handcrafted nature of the process.
But the soaps are not ready yet.
Cold-process soap requires time to cure. The bars are placed on racks where they slowly dry and harden over several weeks. During this curing period excess moisture evaporates, the soap becomes milder, and the bar gains durability. This step is essential for creating a soap that lasts longer and rinses cleanly during bathing.
By the end of the curing process, each bar has developed into a gentle, balanced soap designed for everyday dog care. The result is a product that is simple, reliable, and thoughtfully crafted from start to finish.
